    Upon completion of the course, you will be able to 1) understand the technologies, trends and innovations that are shaping the future to discover new opportunities for the sustainability and resilience of tourism business,
    2) apply innovative development methods to discover alternative sustainable futures for the tourism business

    Future orientation and trend analysis. Innovative development methods for discovering and designing the sustainable future for the tourism business.
    Innovation ecosystem: How trends and innovations will shape the tourism industry and help it reach sustainability goals. The competences and future skills tourism professionals need to develop to thrive in it.
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.

    The student can identify some technologies, trends and innovations that are shaping the future of tourism. The student finds it challenging to apply innovative development methods to trend research for the sustainability of the tourism business. S/he is aware of the need to develop professional expertise and future skills for the sustainability of tourism business. S/he takes part in the module activities with minimal input.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3
    The student can identify potential technologies, trends and innovations that are shaping the future of tourism. The student is able to apply innovative development methods to trend research for the sustainability of the tourism business. S/he is able to develop professional expertise and future skills needed for the sustainability of tourism business. S/he takes actively part in the module activities.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    The student can identify potential technologies, trends and innovations that are shaping the future of tourism extremely well by using versatile sources. The student is able to apply and evaluate innovative development methods to trend research for the sustainability of the tourism business. S/he is exceptionally well able to develop professional expertise and future skills needed to thrive in the tourism business. S/he takes proactively part in the module activities and shows great initiative to learn about the topic.
