    Learning objectives
    - The student understands the key differences between sole proprietorship and limited liability company, and can evaluate which entity is suitable for him/her.
    - The student understands the required registrations, tax implications, pensions and other mandatory insurances of a new business.
    - The student also understands the role of accounting service providers.

    There are no prerequisites in the course. The course is suitable for all students interested in the practicalities of starting a business in Finland, regardless of the degree program. You can join the studies of the course at any stage of your studies.

    The course covers the following topics:
    - Differencies between sole proprietorship and limited liability company
    - Documents and steps to register your business as a Finnish legal entity
    - Filing and paying for employer’s contributions, VAT and corporate income tax
    - Registering for and paying pensions and other mandatory insurances
    - Choosing and working with banks and accounting service providers
    - What else do I need before starting a business? Where to get help?
