Online 15.01.-15.05.2024,
afterwards 16.05.-30.05. face-to-face sessions with the IUI's Study Abroad group in Helsinki.
Lessons include collaborative work done with students from IUI and Haaga-Helia UAS. You will establish shared goals with your collaborators to address an information need and provide a digital service that this global classroom course has identified (e.g., website, data visualization, etc.).
IUI students in this course are both undergraduate and graduate students. Several programs of the Luddy Indiana University School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering are represented, including: Library and Information Science, Computer Science, Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, and Data Science. The course runs all spring semester 2024 and is online/asynchronous. However, students will be conducting online/synchronous meetings during this time via Teams, especially in the 2nd half of the semester when they are divided into groups to work on group projects. IUI students in this course who are also participants in the study-abroad program will have the opportunity to meet their HH collaborators in Finland in mid-May when they arrive.
