    This course unit is part of the master's degree's curriculum. Completion of the course requires master's study entitlement.

    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.


    The student demonstrates satisfactory competence in relation to the course learning objectives. The student identifies some of the theories, perspectives and concepts presented in the course.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3
    The student demonstrates good competence in relation to the course learning objectives. The student has good command of the theories, perspectives and concepts presented in the course.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    The student demonstrates excellent competence in relation to the course learning objectives. The student profoundly masters theories, perspectives and concepts presented in the course.

    Teaching methods and instruction

    Learning takes place according to a pedagogical process and a recommended timetable designed by the teacher.

    Learning happens primarily by studying through written materials and video recordings in Moodle and doing assignments / exams related to the same themes. In addition, there will be 3 guided distance learning sessions in Zoom.

    The course will be available on Moodle no later than the official start date of 21 August 2025.

    Learning materials and recommended literature will be announced in the course Moodle.

    During the course, students will draw on their own working life experiences and apply those in assignments.

    Learning assignments

    The assessment of the course is based on the total points obtained from the assignments in the five different themes i.e. the sub-areas, and there is no possibility of improving the course grade in an exam re-rate. If a student fails the course, he/she must register for a new course implementation

    Content scheduling

    There is an assignment or exam for each of the five course themes
    - Academic writing
    - Ethical principles of study and research
    - Ethics of academic texts and ethics of writing
    - Ethics and ethics of research
    - Methods of development
    The course assignments are primarily individual assignments, but some assignments may also be done in pairs.
    The marking of assignments/exams and the grade will be recorded in Moodle at the start of the course.
