    Learning objectives
    Upon completion after this study-module, the student is: familiar with travel and transportation industry, its sub-sectors and business environment. The student understands the development of these industries and factors influencing them. He/She knows main companies, customer groups, products and services in the industry. The student is able to recognize travel and tourism trends and their impact on travel and transportation business and he/she is able to understand the big picture of travel and transportation industry.

    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.

    The student names the operators of travel and transportation businesses and describes their business environment. She/he lists the products and services of the service providers. The student recognizes main customer groups and companies. The student is able to name some megatrends and describe the big picture of the industry.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3
    The student categorizes the operators, products and services of travel and transportation companies. She/he is able to elaborate their business environment and networks. The student identifies and analyzes the global travel facts and figures. She/he is able to define customer experience.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    The student is able to assess the business environment of transportation companies and travel agencies.The student differentiates customer encounters and analyzes them. The student understands the meaning of customer experience in travel business. The student is able to analyze the megatrends and trends in travel and transportation industry and understands their impact on the business.
