Professional Work Placement - Study guide

After the work placement, students are able to
• identify and evaluate their own professional strengths and areas for development from the perspective of expertise in their field
• act in accordance with the rules of the work community
• evaluate the activities of the organisation and, if necessary, make justified development proposals
• continuously develop and update skills required at work as well as study and career plans

Professional studies or equivalent competences.

Work placement can be completed in a suitable Finnish or international company, public entity or other suitable organisation, such as various associations or non-profit organisations. The student can also work as an entrepreneur in his/her own company. Work placement can also be completed abroad.

This Professional Work Placement implementation is ONLY for those of you who complete 15 ects (400 hrs) of ICT-related work placement during a continuous period. To get the credits,
1) Fill out the form "Notification of Work Placement" on the Haaga-Helia web page https://www.haaga-helia.fi/en/work-placement-bachelor-studies or send an email to your guidance counselor if you want to RPL the course.
2) Testimonial from your employer indicating the duration of your employment; your tasks; and your employer's contact info & signature.
3) In addition, write a five-page report and submit it to Moodle.
4) Send an email to your guidance counselor that you have uploaded your report and testimonial.
