    Learning objectives
    The course is based on the Project Management Championship (PMC), international project management competition, operated by Finnish Project Management Association (PRY) / YoungCrew (YC) and headed by International Project Management Association (IPMA). Preparation and participation to the PMC raise project management, networking and team working skills.
    Starting level and linkage with other courses
    No prerequisites but having a basic understanding of project management principles is a favourable stand point (a lack of this knowledge could be compensated by reading the key material advised by the teacher).
    Contents
    The PMC is a team (3-4 members) competition. Teams will be formed in the beginning of the course. The PMC has 3 rounds: qualification test, national and international finals.

    Teaching methods and instruction

    Teacher will held online sessions to coach teams to the Project Management Championship (PMC) competition, according to the competition schedule. Timing agreed together with teams.

    Learning material and recommended literature

    The learning environment (Moodle) contains:
    - Case material from past competitions
    - Briefing videos by successful teams ("how we won the game")
    - Books and other reference material

    Working life connections

    Methods used in the competition are used widely in the working life.

    No exams, grading is based on the qualification test results, no renewals.

    Content scheduling

    The qualification test (online, few hours) should be done before 23rd of February 2025. Finland's Final (6 best teams from the qualification tests will participate) has two parts: online meeting on 11th of March and onsite day on 28th of March 2025. International Final is in Poland in June (2-3 days trip). Changes to dates are possible.

    You obtain 3 credits from this course. Grading is based on the result from the qualification test.
    - Grade 5 more than 72 % or a seat on Finland's Final
    - Grade 4 by 63 - 72 % of the total points
    - Grade 3 by 53 - 62 % of the total points
    - Grade 2 by 45 - 53 % of the total points
    - Grade 1 by less than 45 % of the total points
