    Learning objectives
    In this course you will learn the basics of futures thinking and foresight in technology-driven business context.

    Upon successful completion of the course, the you are able to
    - justify the importance of systematical foresight in digital business development,
    - create futures intelligence by using versatile methods and sources,
    - use it to explore and analyze digital business opportunities in different future horizons,
    - observe the world critically and think creatively while acknowledging uncertainty.

    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    Student shows some usage of foresight methods and sources. Student can name some emerging technologies and trends, and present opportunities they pose for digital business.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3
    Student shows relevant usage of foresight methods and sources. Student can name main emerging technologies and trends, and present opportunities they provide for a specific digital business and ponders critically their role in future.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    Student shows versatile and proper usage of foresight methods and sources. Student can identify alternative emerging technologies, trends and opportunities, and evaluate their impact for a specific digital business. Moreover, student can conceptualize emerging opportunities for future digital business in different time horizons.
    Further information
    When the implementation type of the course is contact, online or blended it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
