Haaga Campus
- Two comprehensive supervised assignments ("midterm test" and "final test") at Pasila campus. These assignments can not be retaken separately.
- Students, who want to improve their grade after the course, can take a re-test. You have two attempts within half a year after the course has ended. Ask your teacher for the dates. The re-test covers the whole course content. Re-test only can approve the points you got from the "supervised assignments". The points for "continuous assessment" stay.

Pasila Campus
There will be a mid-course exam and a final exam. The students will be informed about the days during the course.
It's possible to re-take the final exam, and day will be agreed with the students during the course.

The course takes place twice a week from August to December during the school weeks.
During the intensive weeks there are no classes.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL):
The students who start their studies in BITE programme and already know some Finnish, can pass the course and gain the credit points by attending a level test. Written and oral parts of the test are organized during the orientation weeks in August or January. The RPL test can only be taken once.

Regular and active participation is crucial to your progress. Coming in time, being prepared, doing activities, answering questions and speaking Finnish as much as possible are all part of the continuous demonstration of your language skills.
Supervised assignments 60 %
NB! When the implementation type of the course is contact, online or blended it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25%, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50%, the course is failed.
