Learning objectives
In the course you get tools and tips on how to analyze companies pre-requisites to internationalise.
After having completed this course the student:
• Can define internationalisation as a process and list the possible challenges and opportunities in the process
• Can name and define some international markets entry modes and strategies and knows the advantages and disadvantages of chosen entry mode
• Has a good understanding of competition in the markets
• Can identify, collect and analyse data for market entry decisions for a given enterprise
Contents
The course advances the following competences: recognising international opportunities, analysing foreign markets and applying the acquired knowledge in the decision-making. Moreover, the course advances sales and communication skills in foreign markets.
Intro
Is your company interested in boosting growth through internationalisation? This course gives you preparatory tips what to do and research before entering to foreign markets and offers outlines and insights about the pre-processes of internationalisation. As a course task you will do a small research. You can take any company and start practical research operations.
Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
