Intro
This course is for you if have arrived in Finland recently and have work experience in other countries, but you have little or no work experience in Finland. If you already have work experience in Finland, we recommend that you take the course Job seeking skills STU008HH1AE.
During this course you will learn about the job seeking process with specific requirements and tips to Finland, about Finnish workplace culture, and you will get additional support in creating your CV, cover letter and LinkedIn. This course is suitable for you at any point of your studies (the sooner the better!), if you are looking for your first work placements, or if you have years of work experience already, but you would like to know how to move forward in your career.

This course is offered both as CONTACT and ONLINE versions, depending on the course implementation.

NOTE: this course is not master -level course and course can not be attached to Master’s degree. However master students are welcomed.
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.
Course will be assessed with approved / adjusted
To pass the course student must:
- Participate on classes (max 2 missed class out of 9 session)
- Do the course tasks
