Accreditation of prior learning (APL):
Annotate, illustrate and pack some of your professional software projects. Demonstrate and narrate it to the teacher. Student is responsible for the quality of the project. The chance to present it is one time opportunity after which grade or rejection will be final without chance to improve.

Materials

There are even too many models learned on this course. But complete mastering is not expected. The learning and utilization of the same models will contínue still on the next semester project course, or student's own other challenges.

There are of course books on Software Engineering. They tend to be old fashioned emphasizing the tradional heavy design and planning. The agile development is often just glued on the top. But no single book can cover all the topics. The contents are trule multidisciplinary.

Teaching methods and instruction

In Bite this is the first sofware development project course (Finnish curriculum differs by three courses, status at 27.11.2022) where students learn to manage a Scrum project, possible plan product, implement it, communicate and work in group of 10-25 developers working on common code, with version management. The advisory and improvement of the project skills is constant as most of the students are beginners in many aspects.
