Schedule
The implementation will take place during periods 1 (18.8 - 10.10.2025) and 2 (20.10.-12.12.2025); there will be 4 lessons on each period.
Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
Various implementation methods are offered during the academic year. For degree students, the primary method of study is the contact/online teaching of their own guidance counselor.
It is not possible to complete a demonstration on the Introduction to Studies course, as the purpose of the course is to support students in their orientation to studies.
Intro
This course will jump start your studies in Haaga-Helia. During the course you will learn the basics about your field of studies, planning your studies, the services Haaga-Helia offers you and the opportunities available for students. After the course you will be well prepared to continue your studies at Haaga-Helia.

Teaching methods and instruction
This implementation is meant for students studying in the International Business Degree.
The course consists of online teaching.
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
There are no exams on the implementation.
Learning assignments
Learning assignments will be available on the Moodle Learning Platform.
Assessment methods
The course will be evaluated either as ‘pass (H)’ or ‘fail.’
Passing the course (grade H) will require completing the learning assignments by the given deadlines and being present during contact teaching (at least 50% of the lessons).
The course is a part of the Keys to Studies and Career study module (5 cr); completing this study module will require completing Introduction to Studies (2 cr) and at least another 3 cr worth of courses chosen from the elective part of the study module.
