Schedule

On-campus teaching during period 1 every second week. Teaching also takes place during 3rd period on Spring 2026 semester. The schedule will be announced by December 2025.

Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

Various implementation methods are offered during the academic year. For degree students, the primary method of study is the contact/online teaching of their own guidance counselor.

It is not possible to complete a demonstration on the Introduction to Studies course, as the purpose of the course is to support students in their orientation to studies.

Intro

This course will jump start your studies in Haaga-Helia. During the course you will learn the basics about your field of studies, planning your studies, the services Haaga-Helia offers you and the opportunities available for students. After the course you will be well prepared to continue your studies at Haaga-Helia.

Teaching methods and instruction

This course is a part of all Haaga-Helia's Bachelor's degrees and the student can participate in any implementation. This implementation is specifically aimed at students of Experience Management students.Guidance Counsellor is Taina Pallonen

Completion alternatives

It is not possible to complete the course using other learning methods, as its purpose is to support students in orientating themselves to their studies.

Learning assignments

The course includes mandatory learning assignments that must be submitted via Moodle

Assessment methods

When the implementation type of the course is contact, student shuld be present at least 50 %.
To pass the course student is reguired participate actively, complete all the course tasks with a passing grade and complete a guidance discussion with your guidance councellor.
The course is grade on a Pass/Fail scale. A passing grade requires the successful competion of the course assignments and attendance.
