Schedule
Kick-off: Thursday September 4th at 15:00-17:30 on Haaga-Helia Pasila Campus, address:
Ratapihantie 13, Helsinki. Participation on the kick-off in person is obligatory.
Independent work in Moodle: September 4th -October 12th
Intensive week: Workshops in Haaga-Helia Pasila campus on Mon, Wed and Fri during week 42 (13th – 17th of October), participation is obligatory.
Visit to a company, organization, recruitment event: Will be announced later.
Learning platform: Haaga-Helia Moodle. Login with Haaga-Helia credentials. In case you don't have an active HH account, you will receive one after the enrollment period has ended.

Intro
Are you new to the job market in Finland? Are you struggling to find a work placement or a job in Finland? Do you want to gain a deeper understanding of the job market and learn how to effectively interpret job postings before applying for a specific position?
Entering the Finnish job market may be different than what you are used to in another country. This course focuses on familiarizing students with the specific requirements of the Finnish job market and the analytical skills needed for applying for jobs in a new culture and society.
Join this course designed for international students organized by 3AMK and get ready to embark on an exciting job search journey. Discover job opportunities that align with your personal values and gain the confidence to a job hunting by understanding the intricacies of the labor market.
Materials
Materials are available in Moodle.
Teaching methods and instruction
Lectures, class assignments, independent study, group and assignments + presentations. Students participate in on-campus classroom teaching during the course. Guidance is provided by the teachers during class sessions, through Moodle, in group meetings, and by email.

This course focuses on familiarizing students with the specific requirements of the Finnish job market and the analytical skills needed for applying for jobs in a new culture and society. The course contains individual tasks online and compulsory participation on the workshops during the intensive week. In addition, students will utilize digital tools and platforms to create their CV, cover letter, and gain tips for their job search. It is essential for students to have a solid grasp of technology to study the course successfully.
This course will be assessed by completing all assigned learning tasks and attending our face-to-face sessions at the Haaga-Helia Pasila campus during intensive week 42.

Working life connections
Assignments are linked to jobs companies selected by students and reflect real-world operations. May also include guest speakers from different organisations as well as company visits.
