Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

Different implementation methods may be offered during the academic year.
In case you feel that you have already acquired the required competence, it is advisable to select a virtual nonstop implementation in order to be able to complete the course at your own pace. If there is no virtual nonstop implementation available, you may contact the teacher of this course for more information on different ways to complete the course.

Intro

This course is for you, if you already have enough knowledge of the Finnish labour market and want to focus on fine-tuning on your CV and job seeking documentation as well as prepare a professional social media account. If you need an introduction to the Finnish labor market, we recommend you also take the course Employment in Finland STU011HH1AE.

Materials

Most learning materials, guides and presentations will be shared on Moodle.

Teaching methods and instruction

The course will have lectures, workshops and independent work at home. Regular class attendance will be mandatory.

The course will focus on job seeking strategies OTHER THAN applying to job ads with CV and cover letter. If you haven´t learned about the Finnish way of job application materials, it is advised that you take Employment in Finland course.

Looking for more than just the traditional job hunt? Our Job Seeking Skills course teaches you how to find hidden opportunities and connect directly with employers—even when there are no job ads. Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

No exam, the base of grading will be class attendance and independent assignments.

Internationality

The course is in English, and international job seeker viewpoint will be extensively discussed. All topics, however, will be relevant for local/Finnish speaking students as well.
