Intro

The course offers a deep-dive into sustanability programs influencing the event business. You will be able to create a sustanability plan for events. In the course we look into how destinations can be developed with the help of sustainable events, working with interesting destinations like Suomenlinna.

Teaching methods and instruction

This course is conducted in the form of face-to-face teaching, which means that we have face-to-face sessions for approximately 3 hours once a week on Wednesdays. According to Haaga-Helia’s new attendance practices, attendance is required during the scheduled teaching sessions. If you are absent from more than 25% of the sessions, your grade will be reduced by one point. If you are absent from more than 50% of the sessions, the course will be failed. Absences do not need to be reported separately, and their reason does not matter.
Absences cannot be compensated with additional assignments.
