Zoom lessons on Mondays, at 16.00-17.30 and contact lessons on Wednesdays, at 16.00-17.30.

Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

Contact hours: 64 hrs (4hrs per week during 2 periods) including the tests.
Independent study: 70 hrs
Self-assessment of learning: 1 hr.

Teaching methods and instruction

Online meetings and contact lessons: 64 hrs (4hrs per week during 2 periods) including the tests.
Independent study: 70 hrs
Self-assessment of learning: 1 hr.

Zoom-lessons on Mondays and contact lessons on Wednesdays.
The first lesson will be on Monday 23.8. in Zoom (link on the course's front page in Moodle).

Upon completing the course the student will learn
• the Russian Cyrillic alphabet,
• the peculiarities and importance of proper syllable stress and intonation,
• how to read, pronounce and write basic Russian words and sentences,
• how to understand simple spoken language (also in a business context), basic written messages and instructions,
• basic Russian grammar,
• basic information about themselves in Russian,
• to hold a basic everyday conversation

Working life connections

The course offers students the elementary level of spoken and written business communication.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

Oral midterm exam Wed 13.10.
Listening comprehension test Mon 29.12.
Oral final exam Wed 8.12.

Internationality

The group consists of students with international background. The course provides information about Russian culture and language.
