Authentic material and experience from working life. Visiting lecturers.
Working life examples.
Students are introduced to the practices of Finnish companies concerning their Russian agreements.
Period 4: Interviewing a company representative .
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
Period 3.
Written exams Wed 17.3.2021 at 11am. Zoom
It is not allowed to use web-based dictionaries in the exam. Paper-based dictionaries are allowed. The use of automatic translation resources (Google Translate and the like) is strictly forbidden.
Period 4.
The final spoken examination Wednesday 19.5.2021, 10:00-12:30, Zoom.
It is allowed to use English/Finnish, but not Russian (!!) notes in the examination.
Re-examinations according the HH re-exam schedule.
It is not possible to retake either the listening comprehension test or the oral exam.

Internationality
Russian studies in line with the requirements of the Finnish companies. The study group is usually multicultural.

Learning assignments
Period 3
Individual work on the Russian contract-related vocabulary.
Period 4
Job application and head-hunting situations, compilation of a CV in Russian, presentation of an organisation, a specialist's (assistant's, marketer's, logistics expert's, etc) job description, presentation of the businesses engaged in the Finnish-Russian trade in Finland and abroad, the pre-requisites and current situation in the trade between Russia and Finland.
The teachers retain the right to modify the course assignments, their weights and assessment criteria. Check the updated course implementation plan at the start of the course.

Written examination 80%.
Moodle vocabulary and grammar tests - 10%
Pair work 10%.

Final oral exam 50 %
Assignments (2) 20 %
Active participating and pair work in classes 30%.
The failure to submit critical assignments will result in a zero grade.
Should a student decide to drop out, their participation is marked with a zero grade.
