Teaching methods and instruction
The course involves contact hours (3 h / week), practicing, assignments completion, as well as written and oral tests, totaling 75 hours of study time, which includes directed and self-directed learning.
The course will continue during two periods.
The learning methods this course applies are as investigative and developmental as possible.
Contact hours: 33 h (3 h / week)
Oral exam and listening comprehension: 3 h (at the end of the 3rd period)
Final written exam: 2 h (at the end of the 4th period)
Self-directed learning (weekly tasks, learning assignments submission and preparing for the exam): 36 h
The assessment of one’s own learning 1 h
In Period 3 attendance of 80% of the contact hours is mandatory. All alternative methods should be priorly agreed with the teacher.
Failing to do that will result in failing the course.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
Exam and re-examination:
Oral exam - Week 12, 2020, on 18.3. at 14:00-16:30, classroom 6043.
Time slots to be agreed in class .
Written exam - Week 20 or 21, 2020, date TBC, classroom TBC.
Re-examinations are held according to Haaga-Helia’s schedule.

Completion alternatives
Period 3:
Mandatory attendance of the first session where assignments, submission types and due dates are discussed, and where the pairs are formed for the company presentation. At the end of the kick-off session remote participation is agreed individually, with the exception of the business presentation (preferably, in class), and the exam, mandatory for everyone.
