Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
Depending on the implementation. Learning takes place in contact lessons, independent studies, teamwork and online-studies. The assessment of one’s own learning.
Materials
The course follows the book Moilanen, T., Ojasalo, K. & Ritalahti, J. 2022. Methods for Development Work. New kind of competencies in business operations. You can access the e-book for free by signing in HH Finna. There are also a limited number of paper copies in the library.

Teaching methods and instruction
In this course, you learn to design and conduct applied research in order to research and develop organizational and professional practices in real-life settings. There is a direct link between this course and your Thesis project.
The course is based on the Flipped classroom learning approach: You get acquainted with the topic before the workshop, with the material available in Moodle, and do the given pre-assignment. In the workshops, we will deepen our understanding of each theme and engage us with related research and development activities.

1. Course activity, incl. participating in online teaching and group discussions and doing weekly assignments. Grade 0-5. Weight value 30%.
2. Multiple choice exam. The multiple-choice exam is open in Moodle in March. The exam is based on the course material. Grade 0-5. Weight value 70%.
3. The thesis plan. Assessment Failed/Passed
