Intro

When Digital Business is your professional goal, come and join us to learn about the key legal issues related to this rapidly evolving business environment. You get to know IPRs in contractual environment and dive deeper into the legal and ethical issues of Artificial Intelligence and Roboethics. You will learn how to evaluate and analyze legal issues typical of R&D projects in Digital Business development. After completing this course, you will become aware of IPR related questions in Digital Business and how to approach them as well as gain competence to contribute to Digital Inclusion.

Learning assignments

The course is divided into two parts in teaching: IPRs and Law & ethics-related questions in digital business.

In both parts, there is no exam but the part is evaluated by two graded assignments i.e. altogether there is 4 course assignments. Besides those, there are tasks and group works which affect the activity evaluation.

Assessment criteria

Assessment criteria - grade 1
A student is able to identify main elements of the legal framework of IPRs in general and in Digital Business Environments and knows sources of applicable laws. Basic knowledge on Contract Management in Digital Business. Basic knowledge of legal and ethical questions in new digital technology.

Assessment criteria - grade 3
A student understands the legal framework and sources of IPRs in general and in Digital Business Environments and is able to evaluate some related legal consequences and risks in contracts. Has knowledge of ethical questions in new digital technology and is able to recognize ethically challenging situations.

Assessment criteria - grade 5
A student has a good understanding on the legal framework of IPRs in general and in Digital Business Environments and a good knowledge of related legal consequences and risks in contracts. Can analyze ethical risks and invent solutions to ethically challenging situations.
