Lessons on Thursdays at 16-17.30 room 2002;
Exceptions:
During week 43 also on Wednesday Oct. 24th at 16-20 and Thursday Oct 25d at 16-20.
Guest of the week also on Nov21th, on reconciliatory journalism.
Final session Dec 13th up to18:30.

Keväällä 2022 opintojakso on lähiopetusta ja se suoritetaan luentopäiväkirjalla ja ryhmätehtävällä.
Sen voi suorittaa myös tenttimällä opintojakson Examissa.
Opintojaksolla noudatetaan aikaisemmin hankitun osaamisen tunnistamismenettelyä (AHOT) erikseen annettavan ohjeen mukaan.

Internationality
In fall 2018 this course will be implemented together with GIPA, Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, School of Journalism. Students from Haaga-Helia and GIPA will share their results and give each other feedback on them.

Learning assignments
1. How to plan for a reporting trip in Georgia. A quick exercise done with our Georgian teachers. Submission of assignments to Moodle. DL 25.10. at 16:00. Grading: approved / not approved.
2. Case analysis. Analysing pieces of crisis journalism in groups. Analysis will be written in Finland and in Georgia, deadline 12.11. Submission of assignments to Moodle. After that groups will comment on each others´ texts. Grading: 0-5.
3. Assignment 3. This assignment will be done by students who could/did not do the 1st assignment. Instructions will be given on November 1st. Grading: approved / not approved.
4. Group presentation. Presentations will be given on 13.12.. List of recommended subjects will be found in Moodle.Grading: 0-5.
Assessment methods
Assignments will be evaluated. Assignment number 2 (case analysis) corresponds to 40 % of the grade and number 4 (group presentation) corresponds to 60 % of the grade. In addition, each student will do either number 1 on number 3.
