Recognition of prior learning:
The student can show the level of his/her prior learning. This has to be done in the beginning of the course. RPL will be evaluated by the responsible teacher and the criteria of the evaluation is how the student has been able to show that he/she meets the study goals and contents and what is the level of the knowledge
Intro
Finnish Business Culture and Society course provides an orientation to the Finnish market and culture. After taking this course students will have gained insights into Finnish culture and business life.
Students study online at their own pace proceeding from one topic to another learning by reading and viewing videos, taking quizzes and exams. The course materials will provide theoretical and factual knowledge as well as practical examples of different phenomena.

Teaching methods and instruction
This course is a VIRTUAL INSTRUCTED course. It is self-paced, allowing students to learn at their own convenience. There are no deadlines except for the final course completion date. As students progress through the course, new chapters will be unlocked.

Working life connections
The implementation contains announcements for various projects and workshops related to employment.
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
This implementation includes an exam as the final section but re-exams are not possible.
Internationality
This implementation is aimed at students from different nationalities and is intended to acquaint international students with Finnish culture and society.
Learning assignments
Assignment 1 in the beginning of the course, on page Assignments, assessment and Exams, submit and Chapter 1 will open up
Assignment 2 for Chapter 3 to submit before taking Chapter 3 exam Assignment 3 on Chapter 4, submit before taking Chapter 4 exam
Completing and passing the chapter exams (passing grade 50%), NB the chapter exams are on the chapter pages.
Final exam (passing grade 50%)
Assessment methods
This course includes various tasks and assignments. Some of the assignments are assessed on a pass/fail basis. Each exam contributes 10% to the final grade, some tasks contribute 15%, and the final exam accounts for 25%.
