We encourage you to obtain all the tools yourself.
We encourage you to publish your results.
We'll use command line interface most of the time.

Intro

Start from zero. Study hard for 8 weeks - and administer your very own Linux server!

It's Free software, so you can use this software also at work without paying. If you want, you can cheaply put your server visible to real, public Internet.

Amazon runs Linux, Facebook runs Linux, Google runs Linux. Out of top 500 super computers, 500 run Linux. Maybe you should run Linux, too.
