Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
Project counseling and contact lessons. Class-based learning and team project, assignments, and independent work.

Teaching methods and instruction
Students become familiar with the globalization of firms. They obtain skills for planning the internationalization of companies.
Working life connections
Teams of students draw up an internationalization plan for a Finnish SME. Each team chooses a different value chain activity (preferably related to sales) and a different target market. Special attention is given to cultural issues affecting business and the cultural intelligence required to be successful in the target market.

Assessment methods
Evaluation will be based on:
Introductory assignment (10%)
Individual report (10%)
Quiz on international business (20%)
Project: Internationalization plan for a company (50%)
Active participation in the class room assignments and project counselling classes (10%)
The project accounts for 50 percent of the grade and the rest of the work for the other 50 percent.
