Assignments
Working life connections
By improving their skills in Finnish, the students improve their chances of getting a job in Finland.
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
Your skills are tested in participation activity, homework and various assignments. Two of these assignments are supervised and therefore comparable to traditional exams. These bigger assignments can bring you 60 % of the points in the course.
If a student does not pass the course or wants to improve his/her grade, there is a possibility to take a re-exam - two attempts within half a year after the course has ended. RE-exam covers the whole course content and can (if you get a better result) replace the points given for the supervised assignments (max 75 points) during the course. Points for the continuous assessment (max 25 points) cannot be improved afterwards.
If a student wouldn’t pass the course at all - or would be sick (with doctor’s certificate) at the time of the supervised assignment(s) - the first option for the re-take will be sometime during the last week of the course. This opportunity is not meant for those students who want to improve their grade other than 0.
Internationality
Cultural diversity in customer service. International students.
