Students learn how to tell about their studies and work experience, write a Finnish CV and practise job interview.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

Exam 1 (chapters 5 - 6) on Wednesday 1 October
Exam 2 (chapters 7 - 8) on Wednesday 10 December
Re-exam covers the whole course (chapters 5 - 8) and the time will be agreed with the teacher.

Assessment methods

The course is assessed with the scale 0 - 5. Components of the assessment:
Exam 1 30 %
Exam 2 30 %
Continuous assessment (active participation in activities during lessons, speaking skills, homework) 20 %
Assignments (cv and interview) 20 %

When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED, students’ presence is required throughout the course. If you are absent more that 25 percent, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 percent, you will not pass the course.

The absence cannot be compensated, for example by doing extra assignments. If the absence is due to illness it will still count as an absence. However, if you get sick you have to stay at home.
