Schedule
The classes are scheduled in Pasila, Helsinki, twice a week: on Mondays at 12:30 - 14:00 (in classroom PA/2205) and on Fridays at 11:00 - 12:30 (in classroom PA/3011).

DEMO tests for Finnish courses will be organized four times a year. Ask the teacher for the exact dates. The test contains both written and oral part. The test will be done at school campus.

Hei ja tervetuloa! Welcome to a journey to Finnish language and culture! You will learn to pronounce Finnish and communicate in some simple everyday situations. By actively participating in classes and studying at home, you will create a solid basis for further Finnish studies.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
- First supervised written assignment ("midterm test") on Mon 24.10.2022 at 12:30 at Pasila Campus (PA/2205)
- Second supervised written assignment ("final test") on Fri 9.12.2022 at 11:00 at Pasila Campus (PA/3011).
- Students, who want to improve their grade after the course, can take a re-test. You have two attempts within half a year after the course has ended. Ask your teacher for the dates.

Assessment methods
Course assessment is based on:
• active participation in contact sessions (classroom assessment and feedback are integrated in the teaching)
• regular spoken and written assignments done in small groups in class
• graded weekly assignments
The course has two modes of completion: the pass/fail scale or, alternatively, students may choose to complete the course with a grade (0-5).
