Topics to be covered in the course include Air Transport Management fundamentals such as:
• Authorities: ICAO, IATA, Eurocontrol, JAR/FAA, Civil Aviation Authorities, ACI
• Regulations & Legal Frameworks: International Conventions (Warsaw, Chicago, Rome, Tokio, Montreal, Freedoms of the air), Legal Frameworks (EC261/2004, European Laws, Others)
• Safety & Security: Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), Safety, Security
• Stakeholders: Passenger, Airlines, Airplane manufacturers, Airports, Alliances, Ground Handling, Air Navigation
Working life connections
The course is linked to the Master student’s own work experience and organisation insights. Guest lecturers can be invited from businesses and other organisations.

Learning assignments
The pedagogy in the implementation a mix of theory based and case-based, i.e. students are introduced to the fundamentals of each theoretical concept and then learn through a development case. Furthermore, learning takes place in contact lessons, independent studies, teamwork and when needed online-studies. Assessment of one’s own learning on E-form.
