Schedule
To be updated in mid-March 2020.
There are weekly assignments. The due dates are to be adhered to.
The teachers ask to realistically assess the number of 5-credit courses one can undertake and complete in a single study period.
The failure to submit critical assignments will result in a zero grade.
Should a student decide to drop out, their participation is marked with a zero grade.
Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
1. contact lessons
2. independent studies
3. virtual or blended learning
RPL: credit transfer or exemption exam. Once the student is accepted on the course and they start off, the RPL is only performed on the basis of having documented relevant and sufficient work experience in the ICT- or business related fields and producing a media survey report and a peer evaluation in full compliance with Haaga-Helia's guidelines.
Materials
Online material on Moodle, information sources and database available to Haaga-Helia's students (critical evaluation is to be applied), and self-study materials recommended by teacher.
Teaching methods and instruction
Weekly written and videotaped instructions via Moodle, individual and/or pair assignments, peer evaluation and self-study, as well as reflection.
Working life connections
The LinkedIn assignment aims at dynamic showcasing qualifications and strengths and enhancing profile visibility to attract potential employers. There is a video CV option for those who do not wish to use LinkedIn.
The business sales presentation offers an insight into how to compose and hold a compelling sales pitch.
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
The course has no exams. There are no retakes for the individual learning assignments. Should a student decide to drop out, their participation is marked with a zero grade.
