Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
CONTACT for contact courses. In contact courses the teacher and the student are physically in the same location on campus, usually at a specifically scheduled time.
BLENDED for blended courses. In blended courses contact teaching (daytime, in the evening or intensively) is combined with online studies independently and/or in cooperation with other students.
ONLINE for online courses. In online courses the teacher and the student are connected only through information and communications technology. The implementation includes scheduled online studies (e.g. lectures or group work).
VIRTUAL for virtual courses. In virtual courses the student studies independently in a virtual learning environment. Students can communicate with other students and the teacher through a virtual learning environment. Students can complete assignments and possible exams at a time that suits them best.
EVENING for evening courses where all meetings start after 4 pm.
DEMO for those with previous knowledge who wish to complete the course through a demonstration of competence.
The demonstration of competence consists of an essay assignment and a presentation day, where you will give a presentation and complete an exam. There will be multiple dates available.
The essay assignment, the presentation and the exam will be evaluated by a teacher designated by your degree. The content of your demonstration is degree specific.
You will find more detailed instructions on how to complete the course through demonstration of competence in the DEMO Moodle. First, you need to enroll on the Professional English DEMO implementation in Peppi. Then, within a week (not in June or July), you´ll have access to the DEMO Moodle implementation.
