Intro

KM is a managerial tool and KM Leadership methods for IT and business development through which we understand organisations as entities that e.g. collect data. The course covers topics such as KM leadership and KM teams and how their activities contribute to organisational development. During the virtual course you will study academic and international study materials independently or in a group. The course will be an exploration and reflection of KM & KM leadership from both IT and management perspectives across organisational boundaries.

Materials

Upon completion of this virtual course or acquiring equivalent knowledge elsewhere, the student
- understand and describe the importance and role of Knowledge Management (KM) and knowledge leadership to the organisation and why it is vital in today's business
- apply and recognize KM framework, like processes, methods and theories
- recognize KM as a resource and opportunity for the organisation and a way of working in business
- to be able to identify knowledge management as part of the expertise of experts and as part of the growing development, and use of digitalisation and machine learning and analytics in the operations of organisations.
- understand knowledge and information management as a strategic tool in IT and as part of the KM team, with management information systems and business environments.
