Intro

The aim of the course is to to develop participants thinking and analytical skills in various ethical issues related to digitalization and to to assume a critical attitude towards promises of moral improvement through digitalization; and to see digitalization and related technologies in their wider social, environmental and political contexts.

Materials

The course material is combination of recent academic articles, online webinars, white papers and other relevant and timely sources.

Teaching methods and instruction

The course consists of four lectures / workshops (one online, three onsite), and a virtual part where students will work independently according to set schedule.

Learning assignments

Four short essays (peer reviewed); group discussions.

Assessment methods

The grading will be based on four peer-reviewed short reflection essays on selected themes.
