Schedule

The course lectures will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays between 15.1.-15.3.2024. Participation in the lectures/learning sessions is mandatory. See detailed schedule in Moodle.

Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

This course may be completed by either:
a. participating in contact lessons and completing the tasks given as either daytime, evening, or intensive implementations OR
b. by participating in a working life project or another project OR
c. by taking an exam and/or turning in the learning assignments OR
d. by showing the requisite skills as acquired at work OR e. by taking part in a network-based course.

A self and peer (if applicable) assessment will be required for completion of the course.

Materials

In the course assignments, it is necessary to utilize literature, articles, and other reference materials related to the topics. Material tips, as well as the lecture presentation decks, can be found on the course's Moodle learning platform. Additionally, self-directed information searching is supported and guided.

Teaching methods and instruction

This implementation consists of mandatory in-class lectures, individual assignments, and group exercises.

Working life connections

The course includes guest speakers from the working life, either through recordings or meetings.

The course involves a working life connected design challenge project.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

There is no exam in this implementation.

Internationality

International literature, learning materials and cases are used as part of the course references.

The course is targeted for international students, which provides participants with possibilities for intercultural collaboration.

Completion alternatives

This course may be completed by either:
a. participating in contact lessons and completing the tasks given as daytime implementation, OR
b. by participating in a working life project or another project, OR
d. by showing the requisite skills as acquired (RPL).

Learning assignments

The course consists of the following learning activities:
-Individual assignments
-Project work in teams of 3-5 students
-Presentations
-Discussions, lectures

Assessment methods

Accepted course is assessed with grades from 1 to 5.

The grade consists of the following components:
-Participation in the course activities (20%)
-Individual submission (Personal Learning Portfolio) (30%)
-Team submission (Team Web Portfolio) (50%)
