Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study
Learning outcomes of this course can be achieved through various methods, such as 1) contact teaching and related assignments, 2) participation in a workplace project or other project, or 3) learning in one's own job (work-based learning).
The course follows the prior learning recognition procedure (AHOT) in accordance with the instructions provided separately.
Intro
Welcome to learn all about the inspiring and efficient Google’s Design Sprint. Use it in practice while working for a client company. Experience the most exhilarating five days by working in a cross-functional team and producing a realistic prototype as a final result.
Teaching methods and instruction
The course includes a Design Sprint project for Alma Media. The topic is the presence of multichannel news outlet Kauppalehti on TikTok or other similar social media channels.
Please note that participating in the course entails a commitment to 5 working days (Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm). Throughout the week, work will primarily take place in interdisciplinary student teams.
Teachers will provide guidance on the process steps during the work and facilitate the process. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with the process in advance.
Before the start, you will complete a pre-assignment to test your understanding of the basics of Design Sprint. Additionally, you will sign a project agreement transferring intellectual property rights to the client. More details about these will be provided closer to the implementation.
