Schedule - The service design tasks are done in the first third of the course. The website again after that, 4 weeks time, Peer review is in the last week.

Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

The objectives of the course can be achieved by
1) Attending study sessions and doing exercises
2) Studying individually and doing exercises
3) If you already have the skills and knowledge, there is a possibility to recognition of prior learning (RPL). Please ask the current teacher of this course.
The course includes self-reflection on individual learning.

Intro

Welcome to start designing digital services such as web pages in a professional way. On this course, you will learn the basics of digital services, their user-centered design and implementation (html5 and css). You will make a light-weight web user interface from idea to publication.

The learning material consists entirely of online material

Teaching methods and instruction

The course is contact implementation, where studying takes place by studying course materials independently and with the teacher. Working also includes cooperation with other course participants.

Learning assignments

The performance of the course consists of 3 learning tasks, the topics of which are
1) "Digital service design", where you develop an idea for a new digital service using design thinking
2) "Implementation of the website", where you implement the plan you made in the previous task using HTML and CSS
3) "Peer evaluation" - where you evaluate the code of another course participant and the success in the tasks

All tasks are competence tasks of the course and must be completed in order to pass the course.
