Schedule
Evening contact sessions are held in the 1st period 2021 (Tuesdays 17:40 - 20:30), altogether 8 sessions.
To be updated in mid-August 2021.
There are weekly assignments. The due dates are to be adhered to.
The teachers ask to realistically assess the number of 5-credit courses one can undertake and complete in a single study period.
The failure to submit critical assignments will result in a zero grade.
Should a student decide to drop out from the course, their participation is marked with a zero grade.

If you have acquired the required competence in previous work tasks, recreational activities or on another course, you can show the competence with a demonstration and progress faster through your studies. More information and instructions for RPL are available at MyNet.

Materials
Course materials are announced at the beginning of the implementation.
The teacher will provide some material in class.
The rest of the leaning material will be available on Moodle.
Additionally, you are encouraged to use information sources and database available to Haaga-Helia's students (critical evaluation is key), and self-study materials recommended by teacher/s.
Teaching methods and instruction
You communicate in an effective manner both in writing and orally to an audience from different cultural backgrounds. You have developed your business vocabulary in English, and learnt to find and discern high quality information from a variety of sources. You know how to refer to sources and avoid plagiarism. You have developed your critical thinking skills and convey convincing arguments.
You know how to communicate in meetings and effectively network and build relationships with the business community. You know your personal communication style and have developed your intercultural competence. You have strengthened your selling skills and public speaking.

The video CV assignment helps to showcase qualifications and strengths and enhance visibility to attract potential employers.
The sales presentation offers an insight into how to compose and deliver a compelling sales pitch.
Identifying and improving one's communication style is relevant to career-building.
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
The course has no exams. There are no retakes for the individual learning assignments. Should a student decide to drop out, their participation is marked with a zero grade.
Internationality
The group is international. We offer multicultural teamwork opportunities and use cases for students.
The course curriculum has benefited from collaboration of multiple teachers with their different cultural contexts, work experience and academic backgrounds.
