This is a 16 week implementation.

Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

The pedagogical approach of this course is reflecting a true-life happening or phenomenon against theory. Then the acquired theory knowledge is tested and still deepened in a true-life empirical project. The theory studies are realized during the scheduled hours. Specific time is allotted each study day to work with preparation questions that support the theory studies. Specific time is also allotted to several small exams that have to do with the assessing of the student achievement. The empirical project takes mainly place during the non-scheduled hours that are dispersed for the rest of the term. Counselling is available.

Possible recognition of prior learning (APL) is observed on the course according to separate instructions.

Teaching methods and instruction

**
Note:
Due to the coronavirus situation and per Haaga-Helia's instructions, the implementation in Spring 2021 will be working completely online (no contact classes in Haaga-Helia premises) making it possible to work remotely (at least) the first 8 weeks.
**
This implementation is based on contact learning meaning that weekly (at least partially on-line) classes provide the basis for learning the course topics by covering the relevant material. Also, some of the learning activities may only be completed in-class such as some in-class activities and exams. In addition, the participants are expected to do independent work outside classes. Instruction is provided during classes, using Moodle and if necessary, via e-mail.

Working life connections

The material and topics are relevant to working life as well as the examples used. Implementation includes project work that is based on a case from working life.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

The implementation has two exams on its first period. It is possible to retake both exams twice on the second period of the implementation.

Internationality

The material and topics are international as are some of the examples used.
