Schedule

All the course weeks are independent study with one exception as collaboration tools' (OneDrive and Teams) assignment contains a group task.

Examination dates and time frames are published by the teacher at course's implementation plan document available in Moodle's Welcome! tab. Re-examination dates and time frames are published by the teacher during the course.

Implementation methods, demonstration and Work&Study

This course is a part of all Haaga-Helia's degrees. Students can participate in any implementation:

CONTACT, ONLINE, BLENDED, VIRTUAL, INSTRUCTED

If you have gained skills matching to the course's learning outcomes, you can show your skills and competences through demonstration. This course is demonstrated based on assignments and a virtual Moodle exam. The exam is available continuously.

1. Enroll to the DEMO Moodle of the current semester.
2. Submit three assignments in Moodle.

For passing, you need 50% of maximum points from all RPL assignments. Details are be provided in Haaga-Helia website.

Note: for Excel, passing the Excel end project part 1 is sufficient to pass the Excel part of the course with grade 1. It accounts for 20% of your Excel grade. For Excel grades 2-5, you must also complete Excel end project part 2.

All learning materials are provided in course's Moodle learning environment.

Teaching methods and instruction

This implementation is based on virtual learning. Course Moodle's General tab will contain link to a video recording which go-through should give each participant basic knowledge and information of how to conduct course. There will be a deadline for one or more mandatory learning assignments for most of the course weeks.

Knowledge and skills of included solutions and software applied are essential in the toolkit of contemporary business professional.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

Course will have two examinations - one mid-course and one at the end of the course. Exact dates and time frames, when exams are made available for taking, will be provided by the teacher and communicated at Moodle's implementation plan document (Moodle > General tab).

Both exams are arranged in Moodle as virtual examinations.

Re-examinations are offered according Haaga-Helia degree regulations also as virtual Moodle examinations. Exact dates and time frames are communicated during the course by email by the teacher.

Internationality

Assignments and exercises will make use of international examples and elements.

Completion alternatives

This virtual version is only targeted for 1st semester blended learning students of international business degree program. For all the other students, there is a contact based version of the course available.

Learning assignments

There will be mostly one or more mandatory learning assignments for most of the course weeks.

Final course grade will be calculated with the following weight in assessment categories:
