    Learning objectives
    The course enables the students to understand the influence of international frameworks and structures on companies operating in global markets.
    Starting level and linkage with other courses
    This course is part of the core module of specialization in Global Markets and Trade. The Module includes three components and the the other ones are: 'International competitive strategy' and 'Basics of supply chain management'.
    It is recommended that the student has successfully completed the Basic Studies.
    Contents
    Topics covered in this course include:
    - key elements of international frameworks and structures in global trade
    - organizations (national and international) related to international trade and their role
    - risks related to international trade and have tools how to mitigate them
    - international transactions and trade practicalities from exporter’s (seller) and importer’s (buyer) perspective
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    • The student knows some of the key elements of international frameworks and structures in global trade and has some understanding of their influence on firms.
    • The student has some knowledge of the international transactions and trade practicalities from exporter’s (seller) and importer’s (buyer) perspective.
    • The student is able to identify some risks related to international trade and how to manage them.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3
    • The student knows the key elements of international frameworks and structures in global trade and understands their influence on firms.
    • The student understands the international transactions and trade practicalities both from exporter’s (seller) and importer’s (buyer) perspective.
    • The student recognizes the risks related to international trade and how to manage them.

    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    • The student has an excellent knowledge of the key elements of international frameworks and structures in global trade and understands their influence on firms.
    • The student has an excellent understanding the international transactions and trade practicalities both from exporter’s (seller) and importer’s (buyer) perspectiv very well.
    • The student skilfully recognises the risks related to international trade and has a good understanding on how to manage them.
