DEMO tests for Finnish courses will be organized four times a year. Ask the teacher for the exact dates. The test contains both written and oral part. The test will be done at school campus.

Hei ja tervetuloa! Welcome to continue your journey to Finnish language and culture! Let´s talk about food, home and other everyday topics. By actively participating in classes and studying at home, you will create a solid basis for further Finnish studies.

Working life connections

These basic courses are your first steps to get important language skills. It is difficult to find a job in Finland without knowing any Finnish language or Finnish culture.

Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

- Two supervised written assignments ("midterm test" and "final test") at Pasila campus.

- Students, who want to improve their grade after the course, can take a re-test. You have two attempts within half a year after the course has ended. Ask your teacher for the dates. The re-test covers the whole course content. Re-test only can approve the points you got from the "supervised assignments". The points for "continuous assessment" stay.

Internationality

The course is conducted in BBA programs with a mix of international students. Also, the Finnish language and culture taught in the course will expand your knowledge of internationality.

Completion alternatives

If you already have skills and competences matching the goals of this course, you can show them through demonstration in the beginning of each semester. Ask the teacher of the course. Next DEMO days in August and October 2025. The test is at Pasila campus, written part in Moodle (supervised in classroom) and oral part (individual interview with the teacher).
