Learning objectives
Upon successful completion of the course, the student is able to produce coherent business- and/or ICT texts and a lengthier media survey report while gaining experience in using and documenting relevant online and literary sources. In addition, the aim is to enhance the student`s spoken English command in professional contexts, as well as improve their career opportunities with a solid video CV or LinkedIn profile.

Contents
- Producing coherent ICT/business-related texts and a longer Media Survey Report
- enhancing students’ overall oral competence in professional contexts
- acquiring information on the latest concepts in ICT/business using various literal and online sources
Assignments include:

--- video CV or LinkedIn profile enhancement
--- business sales presentation video
--- Learning Café session/-s (if the face-to-face mode is available)
--- quiz on referencing
--- media survey report with a topic plan
--- peer evaluation

Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria - grade 1
Grade 1
The student has knowledge of basic English vocabulary used in business- and/or ICT contexts and is able to produce business- and/or ICT texts on а professional level. He/she masters appropriate terminology and has theoretical knowledge about delivering business- and/or ICT presentations. The student produces business- and/or ICT documentation that follows correct format and conventions, and upholds academic integrity.
Assessment criteria - grade 3
Grade 3
The student has intermediate knowledge of business- and/or ICT vocabulary and concepts. He/she is able to explain the meaning of business- and/or ICT concepts using more elaborate vocabulary. The student is able to give business- and/or ICT presentations in order to educate and influence other business- and/or ICT professionals. He/she is able to produce business- and/or ICT documentation that follows the correct format and conventions, and upholds academic integrity.
Assessment criteria - grade 5
Grade 5
The student shows the following skills at an advanced level
- knowledge of business- and/or ICT vocabulary,
- command of idiomatic ICT and business English,
- is able to keep up elaborate discussions, argumentation and debates,
- develops argumentative narratives
- gives engaging presentations that leave a permanent positive impression on audiences,
- produces high-quality business- and/or ICT documentation that follows correct format and conventions, and upholds academic integrity.
