Materials
Handed out during the course in Moodle.
Teaching methods and instruction
This Seminar is intended to bring students into interaction with students fro Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, and Finland, and to have them work in cross-cultural teams during the Seminar week.
The Seminar will take place at HES-SO University, Sierre, Switzerland, in May 2023.
Every day of the week is dedicated to one country’s students presenting the work they have done at their home institution, and then teaching some of that work to the other students.
Once the team has been assembled, it will discuss what device will be built in this year's seminar,
After that has been discussed, much of the actual material consists of issue-based research into material available on the Internet regarding Arduinos, ESP32s, LORA devices, Raspberry Pis and other devices.
The students will prepare educational material on the parts of the device to be built and will teach other students during the seminar how to build it.
Working life connections
This Seminar does not have direct connection with business, but it will be good for the professional development of the students, especially regarding teamwork in multi-national teams.
Exam dates and re-exam possibilities
No exam.
Internationality
This course and seminar are fully designed to give a great international experience
Completion alternatives
This course cannot be completed in alternative ways.
Learning assignments
There are three assignments:
1) learning to build the device the team decides to build
2) preparing educational material on the device

Assessment methods
This course is graded 40% on the pre-seminar learning diary and blogs, and 60% on the performance of each student in the Seminar.
There it will be examined how
• active the students are
• how well they mix with the other students from the other institutions
• how well the students manage to teach the systems to the other students
• what is the outcome of the students’ teaching sessions
Of the diary, the student's progress, handling of issues during the project, learning points, discussion of personal learning, and attitude towards the course are assessed.
