    Learning objectives
    Upon completion of this virtual course, the student will be able to:
    - Identify the importance of Knowledge Management (KM) and Information Management to the organization.
    - Apply and analyze KM processes, methods and theories and recognize KM as an organizational resource by supporting business development
    - Identify and apply information and information management as a strategic tool in IT and business environments.

    This course unit is part of the master's degree's curriculum. Completion of the course requires master's study entitlement.

    There are no prerequisites for this Masters level course.

    - Knowledge Management (KM) and Knowledge Leadership Concepts, Frameworks, Theories
    - The organisational impact of KM and Knowledge Leadership
    - KM as an organisational resource and leadership method in development and business functions
    - KM and leadership as part of professional competence and organisational development.
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.

    Minimum skills to manage KM & Leadership: the course assignments have been completed 40% successfully.
    Assessment criteria - grade 3
    Basic skills to manage KM & Leadership: the course assignments have been completed 70% successfully.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    Excellent skills to manage KM & Leadership: the course assignments have been completed 90% successfully.
    Further information
    The virtual course. Self-directed online work, independent of time and place, and students will complete this course at their own pace. The virtual course assignments must be returned for assessment according to the course schedule. The virtual completion of the course is facilitated by the interactive work of the students in the discussion areas of the IT platform.

    The pedagogy is supported by a wide range of academic literature and articles in the form of extensive assignments aligned with the course theme. Students will complete the various assignments of the course by studying the topics of the course in depth, including reading the e-literature of the course and academic and international articles.

    The Extensive Study assignment is a compulsory assignment and will be carried out as an 'examination form' assignment, as a familiarisation assignment. The student must complete assignments 1 to 3 and the extended learning assignment approved for the course in order to be assessed as fully accepted (grades 1 to 5). Please note that some of the assignments will not be opened until the required earlier assignments have been returned to the student for assessment.
