The student develops an understanding of editorial layout design theory, as well as visual communication theory in general. The student learns how to apply such knowledge into designing effective editorial layouts. Additionally, relevant skills in Photoshop and InDesign to enable implementation of layouts and content are also acquired.
Material will be available via the Moodle site.
The students plan and implement an editorial design project, throughout the course.
The course will be taught in English, and much of the material will be from international sources.

Passing the course requires commitment to the assignment work and contact sessions. The grade is based on the editorial material produced (50 %) and on the student’s own commitment and attitude (50 %).
