With this implementation, the course is carried out as contact, i.e. face-to-face teaching and doing learning assignments and participating in class discussions. Instruction takes place in lectures and in the Moodle workspace, which includes e.g. course materials, the information about news and announcements and discussion forum. Further instruction, if necessary, is available as agreed separately with the teacher or by e-mail.

The implementation deals with ICT (information and communication technology) and business from the point of view of working life, for example in terms of related vocabulary, types of information systems and their life cycle, as well as using examples from working life. In addition, the implementation uses guest lecturers directly from working life.

The course has multiple learning assignments. The size of each and therefore value for the grade varies. Assignments, except quizzes and class assignments, are mandatory and must be completed successfully to pass the course. The learning assignments are as follows: • An orientation essay about student’s own experiences of using information and communication technology in school and/or working life • Process description • Deployment plan • Learning diary • Quizzes and class assignments

The implementation starts on 23 August 2023 and lasts 16 weeks. Lessons are held weekly on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 16:45, except during intensive weeks or when a public holiday falls on the day of the lecture (18.10.2023 and 6.12.2023). A more detailed schedule will be reviewed at the beginning of the course.
