    Learning objectives
    After completion of Technology in People Management -course a student can:
    • describe the major HR processes (current state and desired state)
    • define the various roles and functionalities in HR systems and also understand their possible improvement needs
    • know the purpose, elements and data sources of eHRM software and solutions
    • identify connections and integration with other business information systems (e.g. ERP)
    • be familiar with various HR systems available in the market and is able to choose digital tools for e.g. recruitment process
    • understand the possibilities of workforce analytics and recognize the potential of new technologies (e.g. AI) in HR data management
    • know the phases of an HR system acquisition project
    • create a preliminary plan for acquiring an HR system and justify the benefits based on financial and operational criteria
    • utilize the SAP system for managing an organization's personnel data by using the basic HR functions in SAP S/4HANA
    Assessment criteria
    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed.

    • understands the phases of an HR system procurement project.
    • recognizes opportunities for leveraging new technologies.
    • is proficient in using common features of the SAP system for personnel data management.
    Assessment criteria - grade 5
    Student
    • can analyze HR processes and identify the connections of HR systems to other systems.
    • is able to provide a detailed description of HR processes for defining an HR system.
    • can analyze various HR systems available in the market and their functionalities in advancing responsible business development within the company.
    • has knowledge to justify the need for system procurement to stakeholders.
    • is proficient in using the SAP system seamlessly for personnel data management.

    Teaching methods and instruction

    In this course, we will cover the definition of HR processes, the use of HR systems, and procurement in businesses. You will become familiar with various HR systems and their features in the context of personnel management within an organization. You will learn to utilize workforce analytics for management and development purposes, as well as identify the opportunities presented by new technologies in HR data management. Additionally, you will be introduced to the phases of an HR system acquisition project and become acquainted with SAP system for personnel data management within a company.
