    After having completed this course or attained an equivalent competence level, the student can:

    o act entrepreneurially,
    o understand the key concepts of entrepreneurship and business,
    o describe the ways of becoming an entrepreneur, the opportunities, forms of entrepreneurship, and types of companies,
    o assess entrepreneurship and networks from an individual's perspective,
    o utilize the knowledge base and the BMC model when describing and evaluating a business, considering responsibility.

    Assessment criteria - grade 1
    In the CONTACT, ONLINE, and BLENDED implementations of the course, attendance is required during the scheduled teaching sessions. If you are absent for more than 25% of the sessions, your grade will be lowered by one grade point. If your absences exceed 50%, you will fail the course.

    Teaching methods and instruction

    The instruction will be offered both on Campus and online. The learning methods will include lectures, guest lectures, self-studies, team work and individual work in class, working with literature sources, practice-oriented activities, research and development activities.

    This course is a part of all Haaga-Helia's degrees and the student can participate in any implementation. This implementation is specifically aimed at students of INTBBA degree.

    Learning material and recommended literature

    The students will work with a variety of sources, including media sources, peer-reviewed academic articles, and text books. The students will contribute to the choice of the sources, based on the topics they choose for their course assignments.

    The course will include guest lecturers and require students to maintain connections with the worklife through their course work.

    Exam dates and re-exam possibilities

    The course offers submission and assessment time-lines which need to be respected. A certain flexibility can be accepted based on students' situations. The course does not have an exam.
