    Teaching methods and instruction

    This Seminar is intended to bring students into interaction with students fro Switzerland, Spain, and Finland, and to have them work in cross-cultural teams during the Seminar week.

    The Seminar will take place at the Universidad Europea, Spain, during the week of April 22 - April 26, 2024.

    Every day of the week is dedicated to one country’s students presenting the work they have done at their home institution, and then teaching some of that work to the other students.

    It is intended that this year, the Finnish team will present o a Blender 3D project that includes 3D scanning as well. Participants will be selected from people who have passed Basic 3D with Blender.

    Working life connections

    This Seminar does not have direct connection with business, but it will be good for the professional development of the students, especially regarding teamwork in multi-national teams.

    Learning assignments

    Creating training materials for non- Blender users on how to create a room with furniture in Blender, then use RealityCapture to add real world objects.

    Content scheduling

    This course will be run for three hours a week in Period 3, then there is the Seminar in Spain May 4 - 8, then one more three hour session to wrap up the learning.

    Further information

    This course is graded 20% on the first five weeks, 20% on the learning diary, and 60% on the performance of each student in the Seminar. There it will be examined how
    • active the students are
    • how well they mix with the other students from the other institutions
    • how well the students manage to teach the systems to the other students
    • what is the outcome of the students’ teaching sessions

    Of the diary, the student's progress, handling of issues during the project, learning points, discussion of personal learning, and attitude towards the course are assessed.
